Our route tips for bikers:
The Jura hills are the ideal bike region with many flowing trails. In 2019, the «Arlesheim-Gempen Trail» was built in collaboration with Trailnet, which virtually ends in front of the hotel. Our passionate biker and owner Christoph Jenzer's favourite tour is the «Best of Gempen». Those who still haven't had enough can ride the "Endless Trail" in Sissach (Baselland) or visit the Black Forest in Germany or the Alsatian Vosges in France, which are only half an hour's drive away.
A pump track has been built for kids in Arlesheim, which is just round the corner.
Our route tips for pleasure cyclists:
Burgenzauber Route (Veloland No. 114; 40 km)
This new tour leads to imposing castles (Burgen) in the midst of picturesque countryside. The circular route runs through marvellous landscapes in Baselland and the Solothurn Schwarzbubenland with magnificent views, dense forests and places steeped in history. But the highlights are undoubtedly the castles that rise up along the route: From impressive castle ruins to romantic moated castles, each castle harbours its own history. Be sure to take enough time to admire the imposing architecture, enjoy the views from the towers and explore the legends surrounding these structures.

Basel-Franches-Montagnes (SwitzerlandMobility No. 23)
After the urban residential and commercial districts, you follow the winding course of the Birs, nestled between forests and steep rock faces, to the city gates of Laufen. After the last ravine, the Delsberg basin widens out.
