The Jura hills are the ideal bike region with many flowing trails. In 2019, the «Arlesheim-Gempen Trail» was built in collaboration with Trailnet, which virtually ends in front of the hotel. Our passionate biker and owner Christoph Jenzer's favourite tour is the «Best of Gempen». Those who still haven't had enough can ride the "Endless Trail" in Sissach (Baselland) or visit the Black Forest in Germany or the Alsatian Vosges in France, which are only half an hour's drive away.
A pump track has been built for kids in Arlesheim, which is just round the corner.

What else there is to do around Arlesheim:
- A wonderful walk through the Ermitage with its grottoes and ponds
- Walk through the Ermitage to Birseck Castle, which is open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2-5 pm. If the weather is fine, Nicole Frey will spoil you with home-made cakes and coffee in the castle garden.
- A leisurely cycle tour through the Basel region
- Arlesheim Cathedral with its famous Silbermann organ is well worth a visit
